Scholarships

The Blair Basketball Club started awarding a single $500 scholarship in 1995. The money for the scholarship came from the proceeds of the Alumni Boys Basketball Tournament held the weekend before Thanksgiving each year. The scholarship was given to a high school senior basketball player, and the winner was picked by the Blair High School boys basketball coaching staff. Over the years, the Club has grown and sponsored additional fundraising events. Today, the Club offers three $700 scholarships and teams with the Twin River Valley Youth Basketball Conference to offer a third $700 scholarship. Girls joined the Basketball Club for the first time in 2009-10, and they became eligible for the scholarship in 2012-2013. The Basketball Club is proud to honor these athletes for their dedication to the overall Blair High School basketball program which includes many services to the Blair Basketball Club.
